Registration And Eligibility for UNIZIK 2013/2014 Post UTME

Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, has scheduled its 2013/2014 Post UTME Screening Exercise for candidates who chose the University as first choice. Candidates who may not have made the University first choice but who wish to be considered for admission into degree programmes of the Enugu State College of Education (Technical), Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze and Pope John Paul II Major Seminary, Okpuno (Philosophy), which are affiliate institutions of the University, may also apply. The dates are as
outlined below:
1. SCREENING EXERCISE DATES: 25th, 26th & 27th July 2013

A. Thursday, 25th July, 2013 S/N Faculty & programme I. Engineering II. Environmental Sciences III. Physical Sciences IV. Agriculture V. Basic Medical Sciences VI. Biosciences VII. Health Sciences & Technology VIII. Medicine IX Pharmacy X Geo Physics

B. Friday, 26th July, 2013 S/N Faculty & programme I. Management Sciences II. Social Sciences III. B.Sc. Entrepreneurship

C. Saturday, 27th July, 2013 S/N Faculty & programme I. Law II. Arts III. Education IV. Fine & Applied Arts V. Affiliate Institutions: Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze Enugu State College of Education (Technical) Pope John Paul II Major Seminary, Okpuno

2. ELIGIBILITY
A. Candidates must have made Nnamdi Azikiwe University their first choice.
B. However, candidates who did not make the University first choice but wish to be considered for the degree awarding programmes of the Enugu State College of Education (Technical), Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze and Pope John Paul II Major Seminary, Okpuno are eligible to apply.
C. The cut-off mark is 180 for all programmes

3. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
A. Registration started on Thursday, 4th July, 2013 and will end on Wednesday, 24th July, 2013.
B. Candidates are to register online at the University’s portal my.unizik.edu.ng or go to www.unizik.edu.ng for a link to the above portal.
C. Candidates are to scan and upload to the portal their recent digital passport-size photographs measuring not more than 200 x 150mm showing both ears and no cap or eye glasses. Blurred photographs shall disqualify the applicant. Candidates are to print the completed online form for presentation on the day of the examination.
D. The pin codes for registration can be obtained from branches of any of the following banks, on payment of the sum of N1,000.00 (One Thousand Naira) only: Diamond Bank, Fidelity Bank First Bank, Access Bank, UBA, Enterprise Bank, Zenith Bank, and GTB. Candidates should thereafter proceed to any cybercafé of their choice for the online registration.
E. Candidates who did not make the University first choice but wish to be considered for the degree awarding programmes of the Enugu State College of Education (Technical), Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze and Pope John Paul II Major Seminary, Okpuno should register at the Bursary of the University in Awka only with (2) passport photographs.

4. TIME AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE Accreditation of candidates commences at 7.00am each day. Candidates are to report with: a. Two (2) copies of their online registration forms showing their photographs. b. HB pencil and eraser c. Photocopies of JAMB Slip showing their photographs and JAMB online Result (2) copies each.

5. RESTRICTIONS
A. No cell phones shall be allowed in the screening halls.
B. Only bonafide candidates shall be allowed into the University.
C. Parents and guardians are, therefore, strongly advised against attempting to enter the University Campus. Security shall be tight.
D. Candidates who did not register online shall not be admitted for the screening exercise.
E. The University will not be liable for any payment made with wrong JAMB registration number at the Bank.
F. The University shall also not be liable to any fraudulent payments made anywhere that are not in line with the directives of the University. Note that this new advertisement supersedes the earlier one. Candidates who have already applied need not apply again.

2017 Jamb Cut-off Mark Now 120

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Tuesday pegged the minimum cut-off mark for admissions into universities for the 2017/2018 academic year at 120. The decision was taken together with vice-chancellors, rectors and provosts of higher institutions in the country at a combined policy meeting on admissions into universities, polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday. The stakeholders also adopted 100 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into polytechnics. They agreed that admission into first choice universities should close on October 15 while December 15, 2017 was set as the closing date for second choice admission by institutions. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, said universities should not go below the minimum 120 cut-off point adopted by the meeting for admissions.
