Adeleke University Ede 2012/2013 Admission Procedures

The Adeleke University Ede, Osun state has announced her readiness to accept candidates for the 2012/2013 academic session.
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE ADMISSION
Candidates applying for admission in the Adeleke University Ede, should possess the following basic qualifications.
100 LEVEL/FIRST YEAR
APPLICANTS:
•The candidate shall possess the Senior Secondary School
Certificate SSCE/GCE/NECO/WASC or equivalent with credit passes in five subjects including English,
Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
• Credit in Mathematics is NOT required for any of the following programmes:
- English Studies,
- History and International
Studies,
- Religious Studies,
- Political Science,
- Public Administration,
- Information Resource
Management
- Library Science.
• The candidate should possess an acceptable score in the recent JAMB UTME.
• Also graduates of this
University and other Universities who meet the requirement for admission can be admitted into professional degree programmes.
200 LEVEL/SECOND YEAR
APPLICANTS:
• The candidate must possess two “A” Level passes or equivalent in addition to credit
passes in five subjects at the SSCE examination NECO/GCE/WASC or equivalent.
However, direct entry candidates shall also be considered.
In all cases, an ‘O’ Level credit in both English Language and mathematics shall be
compulsory for all admissions into the University regardless of the study programme.

Additionally, admission into an
undergraduate degree program of the University shall be based on the faculty and departmental requirements stated in the school webiste and a post-UTME Screening exercise conducted by the University.

2017 Jamb Cut-off Mark Now 120

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Tuesday pegged the minimum cut-off mark for admissions into universities for the 2017/2018 academic year at 120. The decision was taken together with vice-chancellors, rectors and provosts of higher institutions in the country at a combined policy meeting on admissions into universities, polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday. The stakeholders also adopted 100 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into polytechnics. They agreed that admission into first choice universities should close on October 15 while December 15, 2017 was set as the closing date for second choice admission by institutions. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, said universities should not go below the minimum 120 cut-off point adopted by the meeting for admissions.
