Unijos 2012/2013 Post Utme Dates And Requirements

University of Jos, (UNIJOS) invites candidates to participate in the computer based Post- UTME screening exercise for the 2012/2013 Session.
Each candidate shall, on registration, be scheduled for the screening as from Monday, 4th June to Saturday, 9th June 2012.
The University website www.unijos.edu.ng will be opened from Friday, 25th May 2012 to Friday, 8th June 2012 for the online registration of candidates who have chosen the University as their 1st and/or 2nd choice. Qualified candidates are those who scored 180 marks and above in the JAMB utme examination for 2012. The examination will take place at the Multipurpose Auditorium, Bauchi Road Campus, University of Jos, Jos. By 8:00 am daily.
General Instructions
(i) Candidates are expected to be at
the screening centre, one hour before the scheduled time allotted to them.
(ii) Any candidate who fails to come
for the screening exercise will
automatically forfeit the chance of being considered for admission.
(iii) Withholding information or
provision of wrong information will
lead to instant disqualification.
(iv) Candidates are strongly advised not to come to the test centre with any electronic device such as GSM Phones, IPods, bags, etc., as these items will not be allowed inside the test hall.
(v) Parents, Guardians and other
unauthorised persons are not allowed within the testing venue during the post-UTME screening.
(vi) The University of Jos does not
condone any form of examination
malpractice. Offenders shall be handed over to the law enforcement agents for prosecution in addition to being disqualified.
The Scheduling of the screening is as follows:
(i) Monday, 4th & Tuesday, 5th June 2012 - For candidates who applied for courses in the Faculties of: Medical Sciences, Pharmaceutical sciences, Natural Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Education Sciences & Technology. The following subjects will be examined: English Language,
Mathematics, Biology, Physics &
Chemistry.
(ii) Wednesday, 6th & Thursday, 7th
June 2012 - For candidates who applied for courses in the Faculties of: Social Sciences, Management Sciences & Education Social Sciences/Management Sciences. The following subjects will be examined: English Language, Mathematics, Economics & Government.
(iii) Friday, 8th & Saturday 9th June
2012 - For candidates who applied for courses in the Faculties of Law, Arts & Education Arts. The following subjects will be examined: English Language, History & Government.
The results of the Post-UTME screening will be available on the University's website, www.unijos.edu.ng on Monday, 11th June 2012.
Important Instructions
(i) Each candidate shall pay a non-
refundable fee of Two thousand Naira (N2, 000.00) only for the screening and for accessing the results.
Payment shall be made online at the University of Jos website by using ATM (Verve & Master Cards only) cards enabled for web-based payment from any of the following banks: FIRST BANK PLC, ACCESS BANK PLC, KEYSTONE BANK PLC, ENTERPRISE BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FIDELITY BANK PLC, FIRST CITY MONUMENT BANK PLC, MAIN STREET BANK PLC, GUARANTY TRUST BANK PLC, DIAMOND BANK PLC, SKYE BANK PLC, STANBIC IBTC BANK PLC, STERLING BANK PLC, UNION BANK PLC, UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA PLC, UNITY BANK PLC, WEMA BANK PLC AND ZENITH BANK PLC.
(ii) Thereafter, a receipt number and a confirmation order number will be issued for online registration.
(iii) Log on to www.unijos.edu.ng for the registration procedures and
proceed with registration.
(iv) Registration for the post-UTME
screening is only concluded when the scheduling of the venue, date and time of the test is automatically generated for each candidate.
(v) Candidates should print out the
schedule slip which must be brought along for the screening exercise.
(vi) Candidates are to come to the
venue with copies of their JAMB result slip and the schedule slip only.

2017 Jamb Cut-off Mark Now 120

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Tuesday pegged the minimum cut-off mark for admissions into universities for the 2017/2018 academic year at 120. The decision was taken together with vice-chancellors, rectors and provosts of higher institutions in the country at a combined policy meeting on admissions into universities, polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday. The stakeholders also adopted 100 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into polytechnics. They agreed that admission into first choice universities should close on October 15 while December 15, 2017 was set as the closing date for second choice admission by institutions. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, said universities should not go below the minimum 120 cut-off point adopted by the meeting for admissions.
