This year's waec results, recently released some weeks ago by the West African Examination Council (WAEC), claimed the lives of two female students in Delta State. The students were said to have written the exam three consecutive times without any success. They allegedly committed suicide on the 22nd of this month, August, 2012, in Asaba the state capital. Reports said the students committed suicide after checking their result in the internet and discovered that it was unfavourable to them. The failure of English and Maths papers led them to allegedly resolve to commiting suicide. Other sources has it that the students had struggled to gain admission into the University in the last few years without success.
